I — m J PROPOSED LOAN OF £16,000. j (By Telegraph—Press Association.) OPOTTKI, this day. The County Council resolved to raise a . loan of £16,000 for construction of roads and bridges and purchase of plant, including two motor lorries, for the Main East Coast Road from Opotiki to East Cape. This road is regarded as-a work of national importance. It will assist greatly in opening up hundreds of square miles of exceedingly rich country. The total cost is estimated at £90,000.
