BOMBING THE MAHSUDS.
APPEALS FOR PEACE. ALLAHABAD, November 26. A few sections of the Mahsuds have asked for peace as a result of daily air raids, but they have been informed that until there is a general agreement among the tribesmen to submit to our terms, no overtures can be entertained. Mfiartwhile the bombing of villages continues, and will probably bo further intensified in the near fiitur"*?. The operations show that the air force has proved a decisive factor in frontier campaigns, achieving victories which a punitive force could only gain after severe losses.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
