The Waihi Association ls holding Its ; opening carnival ou Thursday, December 11, when there will be a 15-round professional contest between G. Venn and Peter Cook for a purse of £100 (which Includes expenses). This should prove an interesting tight. Mr. Venn has wired the. Waihi Association as follows: "Am rightful owner of featherweight title until beaten at featherweight poundage." The Association has entered a protest against any other Association advertising a fight involving the featherweight championship.
