OBITUARY.
OLD THAMES RESIDENT. "■ A.t the age of 72 years an old Thames resident, Mr. William Woods, died yesterday. He was born in London, and afterwards lived thirteen years in South Africa before coming to Auckland -in ISflO. The following year the Thames gold-elds rush attracted Mr. Woods, who, after mining for some time, started a store. Deceased is survived : by-three sons and two daughters.
