At a special emergency meeting of the Whangarei branch of the A.S.R.S., held last night, the following resolution was carried unanimously: "That this mass meeting of Whangarei railway employees expresses an emphatic protest against the provisions of the Railway Bill, and call upon all members of Parliament to oppose certain sections in question. We further declare our absolute confidence in the National Executive of the A.S.R.S., and pledge it our undivided support in any action it deems necessary."
