TWO MILLIONS A DAY SHORT. DISCUSSION IN THE HOUSE. (Received 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, October 2:!. Parliament reassembled for the autumn session to-day. Mr. Austen Chamberlain, Chancellor of the Kxchequer, and Mr. Jjlyod George promised the House an opportunity to discuss the financial situation when tho revised Kstimatea are submitted on Mbnday ne^t. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.) >Ir. Chamberlain announced that for the six months ending September 30 the daily expenditure was £3,225,000, and the daily income £1,508,000. Kritain lent in war time £1,808,000.000, of which she would receive only £(1,000,000 this year. The Government would not introduce an autumn Budget.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
