PROFITEERING ON RENTS. LONDON, October 13. The scandalous profiteering in houses and flats in London continues, and the •public is raising a clamorous demand for Government control. The question will shortly be raised in Parliament, with a view to securing an extension of the powers of the Profiteering Act, to control rents. The public, especially, resents the system adopted by landlords, -who demand high premiums, which arc called "key money."
