break" in~t~he eastern line". SYDNEY, October 23. The Eastern Extension Company report* that the cable has been interrupted between Rolriguez Island and Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean, which has resulted in the overloading of the Pacific route, thus causing delays.—(A. and N.Z.)
