AUSTRALIA'S DEFENCE BILL.
A BIG REDUCTION. (Received 11.5 a.m.) MELBOURXK. this day. ln the House of Representatives today. Mr. W. A. Watt stated that the defence expenditure for the current year had been reduced by 30 per cent. It was not proposed to further reduce the amount until Australia's future policy of defence had been decided upon. (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
