—. — I The second of the Sunday School [ Union's annual meetings was held last evening in St. David's Hall, Khyber Pass, j The chair was occupied by the newly- j elected president, Mr. F. Rowe. The meeting was of a devotional character and an inspiring and helpful address was given by tbe Rev. J. W. Shaw, M.A., on "The Spiritual Life of Sunday School Teachers and Scholars." Tlie Back j ■Block Missioncr, Mr. E. H. Pain, gave : an interesting report of his experiences j in his work among the outlying settlements. The meeting was well attended, and \ of an uplifting character. On Saturday evening the greatest of the gatherings will be presided over by Mr. A. J. Entrican, Deputy-Mayor, in the Town Hall. Over 400 schools are in the union, and besides the musical, elocutionary and choral numbers (the latter by 400 children's voices), the big business of the evening will be the distribution of prizes to the successful scholars of all the Sunday Schools.
