TAKAPUNA ROADS.
£5000 FOR IMPROVEMENTS. Intimation that the Takapuna Borough ! Council's application for a supplementary ' loan of £5000 from the State Advances ' Department had boen granted wae received by last night's meeting of the Council. Tho Loan Works Committee recommended, and the Council approved, the ''allocation of the estimated surplus of ! £3750 for the following works: Forming ' and karbing of footpath from Bclmont to Clifton, £S00: tar-sealing Lake Road ! from Hauraki Road to the Strand, £600; < metalling and formation to permanent levels of Lake Road from Clifton Road to Hauraki Road, £550; Archer's Road, in accordance with agreement with. Wai--1 temata~ County Council, £200; earmarked for Sheriff's Hill, £700; earmarked for Bayswnter, £500. The recommendation of the foreman ie to bt sought as tot the precedence of works each of which will be completed by day labour before another is undertaken.
