"That overtime shall" be paid for all time worked in excess of 44 hours a week at the rate of 2/ an hour, provided that when a half-holiday or holidays occur in any week a deduction of four hours for each half-holiday and eight hours for each holiday shall be made from tbe number ol hours to be worked before, overtime is claimed. This shall apply to messengers and night watchmen." Another remit adopted was, "That al officers over the age of 40 years shall b( entitled to three weeks' annual leave irrespective of their length of service."
