AMNESTY IN FRANCE.
WAR OFFENDERS FREES. PARIS, October'2o. The Chamber of Deputies passed a bill extending an amnesty to military ■ offenders during the war. It was revealed during the dehato that there had been 107,000 convictions for military ; offences during the war. Ml Painleve unsuccessfully pleaded for pardon to bo extended to the offenders in the 1917 army mutiny. It was stated that 25 personß had ben executed in connection with the mutiny. —(A. and N.Z.
