BLOCKS FOR SOLDIERS. A2s"D GEXERAL PUBLIC. Various areas of land within the boundaries of the South Auckland Land District will be opened nex» month. The largest and most important area is the block to be known as the Pualiuc Settlement, an area between Te Awamutu and Cambridge, which has been purchased by the Government from Mr. \V. U. I'arkes, of Hairini. The area is described as first-class dairying land, and consists of about 3,000 acres, which has been subdivided into some 20 sections. These range in area roughly from SO to 526 acres, and the land is partly bush, partly swamp, and the remainder rolling grassed country. The distance from Te Awamutu is roughly nine and a-half miles, and from Cambridge eleven and a-half miles. The sub-divisional plana and valuations are expected to be available shortly. There will also be offered for selection next month three small grazing runs, totalling about 0,000 acres, and comprising part of IT., 4, Piako Survey District, and 13, 7, Waitoa Survey District. These will probably Ibe open to the general public, as well as to returned soldiers. A number of township lots will be ollered for Bale about November 24. These arc situate in Rotorua, Waimana village. Matamata town, Pipiroa, Xgaruawahia, Otorohnga, and Puketurua.
