The difficulty of identifying a taxi from the private car, referred to in last night's "' Star," has, we learn, been recognised by the Auckland Taxi-Owner's Association, and they are importing distinctive badges, to be carried on the cap of the radiator of all cars owned by members. The badge is an artistic one, mado with a blue glass centre, inside which is an electric- light, so that it will be jUot as easy to identify tiie car at night as in the day time. When the car is engaged this light will be extinguished. The Association has received the bill of lading for the badges, so that it should not be long before this long existing anomaly of indistinguishable taxis is removed.
