TAKAPUNA TRAMS.

(To the Editor.) Sir,— l think it is time that tlic Inspector of Public Health or some authoritative pexson took steps to prevent the overcrowding on the Takapuna trams. Travelling on certain tripe ot the trams is abominable. For instance, on the 5.30 through tram from flays-, water to Milford, one can always count at least 22 to 25 people islanding inside the tram, besides a further six or seven individuals on each platform. One thing is obviously certain, that the accommodation for people travelling to Milford after a hard day's work is inadequate, «md at a time When there appears to be an epidemic of colds, the travelling public fthould 'he protected.— I am, etc., TRAVELLER.
