SEAMEN'S STRIKE.
SETTLEMENT NEGOTIATIONS. NOTHING DEFINITE YET. (By Cable.—(Press Association.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, August 24. Mr. E. D. Millen has extended the time for the seamen's acceptance of the Government's terms in connection with the strike until noon on Monday. Early developments arc anticipated in regard to the shipping strike, but up to a late hour to-night definite information was lncking. At a meeting of the Seamen's Union to-day it was decided not to man the ships'on Monday, pending further advices from Melbourne.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
