BLUEJACKETS ENTERTAINED.

At the Y.M.t'.A. on Saturday night the crews of 11.M.5. 'Mallow, Marguerite, and Geranium, the three minesweepers, at present in port here, were entertaind by the Auckland Football Association, Mr. K. Ritson. its president, being in the chair. Mr. ('. 11. Poole. M.P.. was among the 1011-odd guests present, and the function proved to be a highly enjoyable one. Mrs. Grant. -Miss Syms. and Messrs. Wilkie. Nixon, and Jacobs were contributors to the musical programme, and Miss and Master Mcl.aclilan tendered a tine Highland dancing number. Nor were the guests from the three minesweepers lacking in their contributions to the general amusement, for Petty-Oflicer Lynn gave a concertina recital. * and a pair of bluejackets from the Mallow had a few rounds with the gloves. Lieutenant Saint thanked the ' Association lor the enjoyable evening.
