AUTO-CYCLE UNION. (By Telegraph.—Tress Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The annual conference -of tjie Kew Zealand Auto-Cycle Union opened this morning. Mr. Torteuooii (—lartawatu) in the cliair. The annual report referred to the fact that P. Coleman at the Soekbtrrn course broke the world's record for 15 miles, tills time being- 13m 50s. Fifty riders were now registered by the union. Owing to the nuni'ber of accidents a benevolent fond for riders had been established. During the year the Eadens' Club wa<s affiliated to the anion Mi. Tortenson was elected president for the ensuing yea.r, and Messrs. J. li. .Merrett, J. H. Flight, Gray, Gaisford, Schultz. and Nash, vice-presidents, ilr. 11. J. Lloyd was reappointed secretary and treasurer. The following dates for club meetings were allotted:—Dannevirge, Labour Day; Poverty Bay, Ist and 2nd January; Napier, Easter Saturday and Monday; Hawera, 31st March; Christchureh. 2Gth December and 21st February: Mart-on, 17th March. The G-is-borne Club was allotted the heayyweiwlit championship, Marton the middleweight and Napier the lightweight championship. SITUATIONS VACANT.
