CANTEEN PROFITS.
LONDON, August S (delayed)'. The "Daily Chronicle" states that between £6,000,000 and £7,000,000 of accumulated army and navy canteen profits are available for bettering the condition of serving and demobilised officers and men and their wives, widows, children, and dependents. General Sir Julian Byng, the chairman of the United Service Fund, has been appointed to administer the income.—(A. and N.Z.)^
