AUSTRALIAN TENNIS TEAM.
NEW YORK, August 10. The Australian tennis players plan to stay in the United States for six weeks, and will participate in tournaments in various parts of the country. They are then going to Canada. Each player has brought teri racquets wrapped in waterproof coverings. Mrs. Brookes is the only woman in the party. The Australians will take part in the National Doubles Championship at Boston on August 11. In the final of the doubles for the Newport Cup, Brookes and Patterson, of the Australian party, beat Richards and Johnson, the runners-up-(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
