Clubs' 4 was proposed by .Mr. Allan CUIM .secretary of the Northeote Rambler- CluW and responded to by Mr. Arthur Casey. "The Northeote Ham-biers' Football Clut) was proposed by Ihe ehairinau. who congratulated the club on its past prowess la the playing Held, aud the larger held or Empire. He said he fully recognised t_e urgent necessity of a recreation ground iv a central position in the district, not only tor football, but for cricket, hockey aud all klnared outdoor sports. It was the duty of the local authorities to assist as far as possible iv this direction, and while a prospective reserve was iv the making iv Little Shoal Bay, he would HKe to see something additioual done to accommodate players while the work of converting the rccl.iiuied tldiil area into playing fields was proceeding. Mr. Chas. Adumson. who responded for the club, also emphasised the need of adequate playing fields. ••Returned Soldiers," given by Mr. Thos. McDowell, was acknowledged by Sergt. Other toasts were honoured and an enjoyable musical programme was contributed by ■Messrs. Bert. Hill. Thos. McDowell, James, Harrington. J. B. Heed. Arthur Golden, and Wm. Tucker. It was announced thai Mr. Poff had donated a valuable trophy for goal-kicking competitions.
