A social in connection with the Howick Bowling and Croquet Club was held in the 'Howick Hull on Friday evening. Mr. T. Speechlay, vice-president tin the absence through illness of Mr. J. T. Gilmour) made a few remarks, and then presented bowling trophies to Messrs.- W. Sivewright and Kates, F. Alexander and, E. Pegler, J. Roberts and J. T. Gill, Forde and Waldrom. Championship trophy for A players: E. Bates. Championship trophy for B players: Mr. W. Sivewright, jun. Trophies won by members of the Croquet Club were presented to Mrs. Boyes -ami Mrs. J. .Roberts, Mrs. Mclnness and Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. J. Roberts and Miss Gill, Mrs. J. Gill anil Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Hambrook and Mrs. J. Gill, Mrs. .T. Roberts and Miss GUI, Miss Waldrom and Miss GUI, Mrs. J. Gill and Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Fell and Miss V. Hnttaway.
