Sir Eric Geddes foreshadows increased railway freights. He says the railways ;must be made to pay, and has proposed a far-reaching scheme of reforms for J economical use, eliminating competition pooling rolling stock, increasing the .wagon loads, standardising locomotives, :and preventing the delays. • !
