EGYPTIAN RIOTERS.
SENTENCES COMMUTED. UNREST STILL CONTHTJES. (Received 11.45 a.m.) CAIRO, June 5. Two of the six death sentences on loaders of the Egyptian riots have been carried out, while two have been commuted to ten years' imprisonment. Unrest is still prevalent, and several raids have occurred in Cairo cafes. Seditious literature was seized, and some arrests made. Evidence at the Deirut trial show that i after five British oflicers had been etripI ped and beaten to death on the Luxor express the mob compelled the stationmaster to falsify his reports of the outrage. — (A. and X.Z.
