ALLEGED INDECENT ASSAULT.
SUPREME COURT RE-TRIAL. The re-trial of Beauchamp Walesby on a charge of indecently assaulting a" boy at Remuera was begun this morning at the .Supreme Court liefore Mr. Justice Stringer, the accused conducting his own defence. Walesby was tried on the same charge .in February last and found ,-uilty by the jury, but Mr. Justice flosking decided to refer to the Court of Appeal v legal point arising out of the I evidence. The Court of Appeal, at its j sittings this month, ordered a new trial. I A verdict had not been returned at the time of going to press.
