LAND EXCHANGE CASE.
Further evidence was heard by Mr. ' Justice Cooper and a jury of twelve at i the Supreme Court to-day in the land' exchange case, William Gardner and Thomas V. Humphreys v. Walter George Carey. The plaintiffs claim specific por-; formance of an agreement for exchange,' together with £071 expenses and £500 as I general damages, or alternatively £971 ■' special and £2000 general damages. Mr. | J. R. Reed, K.C., and Mr. MeDiarmid: appear for the plaintiffs and Mr. H. P.! Richmond for the defendant. The evidence this morning was that of land j valuers railed by the defendant respoct-' injr the value and condition of the plain-1 tin's' property at Monavale, which were] alleged to have been misrepresented to | the defendant. Subsequently evidence was given on behalf of the plaintiffs. The case is proceeding.
