LIEUT. CRAIG'S DEATH.

LONDON, February 11. Second-Lieut. Alex. Campbell Crafig, R.F.A., aged 22, who belonged to Auckland, was killed on Ben Nevis on Sunday, February 9. With a brother officer he Bet out to climb the lower' shoulder of the mount, which was in a highly dangerous state owing to ice and snow. When they had reached the height of about 1,000 feet, Lieut. Craig, in attempting to negotiate a snow slide, lost his footing and was immediately precipitated down the slope. He was quite dead when he was found
