COAL SHORTAGE.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. A serious position has arisen regarding the Thames coal supply owing to shortage of trucks. One merchant here I having a normal demand of about 150 tons monthly us only able to secure 4(3 tons. The hospital' is practically out' of coal, having only three tons in the stokehold, some of which was borrowed from Price's foundry. Urgent representations have been made to the Railway, Department, and to-daj one truck load! arrived for the hospital, after sv four days' journey from Httntly. .
