The official correspondent with the New Zealand delegation to the Peace Conference writes:—The British delegation as a whole lias yet to deal with the general question of mandates for the lormer German colonies, also with the future control of the island of Nauru, regarding which several suggestions have been made by Mr. \\". M. Hughes and Mr. W. F. Massey and the Secretary of State for the Colonies. It can be stated definitely that there has been no friction, as between Australia and New Zealand over their respective claims and the proposals regarding ih" disposal of Nauru. Mr. Massey is confident that satisfactory arrangements can be made.— (.A. and N.Z. Cable.)
