RICHMOND CRUISING CLUB
The Richmond Cruising Club held its general handicap over the usual harbour course on Saturuay afternoon ln a doublereefed N.N.E. breeze. Out of the dozen boats that started Variuia was flrst to cross the line, closely followed by Sadie, Doreen, Oueenle aud the rest of the fleet, with the exception of Ngaro, which was six minutes The finishing times were:—Sadie, 4h 54m Os; Queeuie, 4b 54m 29.5; Omatere ,4h C,m 4s: Varuna, 4h 57m 13s; AValrlki, 4h o9m 19s; Marie. 5h 14s 17s; Doreeu f.h Km _4s, Rahiri. 5b 24m 2Ss; Ngaro, 5h _om 4_s. UU corr-et'ed times: Varuna is flrst, Sadie second and Omatere third. The officials of the day were: Messrs L. Heath waite, J. Longbottom, T. P. Bos well.
RACES POSTPONED,
Owing to the rough weather ou Saturday, the West End Rowing Club's race for the Clark shield had to lie postponed until next week The trial fours ln connection with the Auckland Rowing Club's fixture hud also to be postponed until next Saturday.
