HEAVY DELAY SOUTH. Considerable inconvenience was. caused to-day by an interruption of the telegraphic system in the South Island. Owing to a break in the line in South Blenheim telegrams to Christchurch and Dunedin districts were subjected to a Uieavy delay. Information was received j just before noon that communication had been restored, but this fact did not obviate the delay in the dispatch of telegrams from the local office, though it is expected that the conditions will be normal this evening. No information has been received at the local General Post Office as to the cause of the break in the service. I
