Anther Lenten address was delivered by the Rev. W. G. Monckton at the Chamber of Commerce yesterday, the subject he chose being "The Miracle at Cana of Galilee." The speaker explained how all the evangelists laid little stress on the miracle, while John attached more importance to the place in which it happened than to the sign itself. Cana of Gali'ee typified a little baekblocks place in which the water of life ran in plenty, but which lacked the wine that made' city life, with its opportunities for culture and diversion, so much mors pleasant and interesting. And he pointed to the miracle ar. symbolising the power of God to turn the insipidity of life's water even in such a place to the rich content of life's wine. The lesson to be learnt, said the preacher, was that life's fullest cup of blessing could be tasted in the most unlikely environment provided that the heart and mind were open to the influence of God's love and charity, and became cleansed of vulgar and ignoble impulses. Malt liquors all have invigorating qualities, and when blended with the tonic appetisenesa of hope, give eustenance in its most easily assimilated form. Hancock's "N'u-Beer" is an invigorating beverage "par excellence," being brewed from malt and hops in a way that best brings out the qualities of each ingredient. Sold everywhere—at all times.
