TIIE PALESTINE CONTINGENT.

(To the Editor.! Sir, —I am wondering why we do not get our Egyptian soldiers home. The Turks surrendered at the end of October, and we are into March and no sign of our men. Why ure they left in Egypt in that dreadful climate? Most of them have had malaria two or three times, and still they are not sent home. The Minister of Defence, notifying the papers, said that there were only 3,200 odd men, New Zealanders, in Egypt. Surely they could be sent back. The men say that they do not want to go to England. They want to come home. What is the matter with the Defence Department?—l am, etc., FATHER.
