A warm, dull day, with a slight drizzle, made the outlook for Prize Day dubious, but after breakfast, although the clouds remained, the sun struggled fitfully through, and the rain apparently will keep off. The morning is being devoted to the Champion Teams Match for teams of five men, seven shots at 300, 500 and 600 yards. Twenty teams are entered. Firing for the King's Prize begins at 2 o'clock, ancU should be concluded by 3.30. Following is the result of the Consoia,tion Match, ten shots at 500 yards: — Sergt. O. Carey (Troutham). £3... 47 W. Rifles). £1 10/- 4o The Colonial Ammunition Company's silver shield, for rifle club teams of five men, all scores in the belt series to count, was won by Opaki with 1805 points! Karori No. 1 being runners-up with 1830, and Akarana third with 1820. The champion teams match, five men. each seven shots at three, five and cix hundred yards, was fired this morning.
