SHIPPING CONFERENCE PRESSURE. LONDON, March 14. The Shipping Conference intends to adhere to the custom of withholding deferred rebates from shippers who use other steamers than those of the conference. The Australian Merchants' Association discussed the situation as regards the Bulla, which the Commonwealth Government is loading, and will send a deputation to Mr. Andrew Fisher, Commonwealth High Commissioner, on the matter.—(A. and N.Z.
