BETTER ACCOMMODATION WANTED
The annual meeting uf tin* Auckland l'niver„ity College Students' Association was held at (he college last evening, the president (Mr. F." Green) presiding. The necessity for having a university in keeping with tbe requirements of the city, which in addition to providing necessary accommodation, would inculcate love for the college in the student*, was nived in the annual report. The strength of the association for the. past year war* 104. The athletic i-lui. had been given new life during the year and the prospects for the present season were propitious. Tlie I'niversity had decided to he represented at the inter-university tournament, to be held at Dunedin during Easter. The death of Mr. I. Phillips, who had lieen a prominent member of many college institutions, was deeply regretted by the association.
Officers for tlie ensuing year -were elected as follow*: -President, Mr. F. S. Smith; vice-presidents, Miss Fisher, Mr. C. J. Roliin.-ion; secretary, Mr. ('. T- B. Hall (re-electedl ; treasurer. Mr. W. C Maekay: committee, Misses Johnson and Brown*. Messrs. Senior. Bellhouse, and Shove: auditor. Miss Thode.
