BRETT'S CHRISTMAS ANNUAL.
Brett's Christmas Annual, a publication which is keenly welcomed as a bright record of the more striking scenery and aspects of life in the Dominion, will be ready for issue on the 21st instant. It will embrace new and attrac five features, notably a coloured presentation plate, being a portrait of "Kiri Matau," representing " A Maori Dajne of the Old School," from Mr. 0. F. Goldie's celebrated painting: also new views of Auckland; "The Bravest of the Brave," a story of the deeds of New Zealand ■winners of the Victoria Cross in the present war; and remarkable photographs of " Castle Berg" in the Antarctic, taken by a member of the recent exploring party. Tlie issue is limited, and intending purchasers are advised to "send in their orders without delay.
