At the Supreme Court yesterday, before Mr. Justice Hosking, an action was called on Executors of Maurice O'Connor, deceased, v. Hail Skelton, solicitor, Thadeus GiHedder, Civil servant, James Gilbert, printer, Robert L. Halpin, printer, James F. McKenna, Civil servant, and Edgar Spiers, land agent, for the recovery of £690 and interest paid by Maurice O'Connor to the Commercial Bank, being the overdraft of a newspaper company called "The Bulletin Printing Company." O'Connor's execu tors now claimed a contribution from his co-guarantors, the defendants. Mr. W. J. Napier appeared for the plaintiffs, and Mr. R. MeVeagh for the defendant, Hall Skelton. A defence on the merits had been put in. and Mr. MeVeagh announced that he would withdrawn same. After argument his Honor gave judgment for the plaintiffs for the amount claimed, and costs and interest at 6J per cent, to date of judgment, execution to bo issued against each defendant for one-sixth of the amount pending further order. It was stated the paper, the "Bulletin," was an Auckland production, and bad ceased publication, and that the company had gone into liquidation.
