WAIROA HARBOUR.
A NEW SCHEME. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAIROA (H. 8.), this day. Following a visit by Mr. Fnrkert, Government inspector, the Harbour Board unanimously decided that a bill be immediately promoted to construct a harbour at Waikokopu and a railway for. tho combined districts. This means abandonment of the works in Wairoa Harbour that cost nearly a hundred thousand pounds. A public meeting will be held to discuss the position.
