PROHIBITION
BARE MAJORITY VOTE. (By Telegraph.—Fress Association.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. Speaking at a meeting to-night, the Rev. R. S. Gray stated that, in reply to an inquiry by the New Zealand Alliance, the Acting-Prime Minister had said he understood that the proposal of the National Efficiency Board was that the liquor question should be settled by a simple majority vote of the people.
