AXXI'AL MESTIXU. The annual general meeting of the New Zealand Farmers- Fertiliser Co.. Ltd.. was held in the Town Hall Concert Chamber yesterday, the chairman of directors .Mr A. A, ItOMS. who has Just returned from a trlii abroad, occupying tin- chair. The annual leport congratulated shareholders on I he HUbatnuUal progress made during the year. It further pointed out that a number of members had undoubtedly lo.si sight of the fact that to make the preliminary arrangements in connection with the new fertiliser works Rt Te l'apapa, and u> establish the suine. demanded considerable time and a very great deal of hard work. This point had not been given the consideration it deserved by smile of the members, hence t lie fact that complaints had been made that no manure was yel obtainable ami furthermore, no dividends forthcoming. A little consideration, the report proceeded, would convince any reasonable person that the progress made was quite as great as could be expected. The report was udopted.
Reporting in connection with his and Mr Qiilnn Crookea' trip abroad on behalf ot the company. Mr Itoss said that they hau taken full advantage or their opportunities, and he was fully of the opinion that the complete m hem.- in connection with tne fertiliser works was equal, and probably superior, to anything to be found in the countries they hail visited.
The retiring directors. Messrs A \ Ross P. H. l.nsk. and M. Harding, were ieappointed. Messrs 1 , . .1. Paine and .1. A Duncan were re-elected auditors.
