LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The High Commissioner's market report, dated London, May 18, Is as follows: — Meat.—The market and prices are without change. Butter.—Stocks are Increasing, but distribution is limited to rations. Cheese Is in small supply. English Cheddar, no supplies available. The Government has revised the maximum price, which Is now 149/4 per cwt. Hemp.—Manila, present supplies are sufficient to meet requirements. Stocks on the Ist May totalled 63,731 bales, against 26,186 bales on the Ist May last year. New Zealand flax, conditions unchanged. Wheat and Oats.—Offerings small, no change In prices.
RUBBER AND HEMP. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON. May 19. Rubber.—Fine, hard I'ara, S/; Plantation, 2/3 i; smoked, 2/31. Hemp is In fair demand: 12E) bales of damaged New Zealand hemp were anctloned and fetched £63 to £96.
