FRUIT PRODUCE. Auctioneers report that there has been a fair amount of business during the week, and In most lines tbe supply is up to requirements. The fruit markets have -been heavily supplied, with little Improvement in price. Potatoes have showu a considerable drop in price. Farmers' butter and eggs are still scarce, an<i sold high. The following prices ruled: — Potatoes.—Prime £5 to £6. others £3 10/ to £4 5/: onions, £S 10/ to £9 10/; picklers, lid to ljd; kumaras, ljd; pumpkins, 6/ to 7/. Formers' 'butter, small lots, l/3i to 1/SJ; eggs. 1/9J to 1/11J; honey. 6d. Fruit.—Apples, choice dessert. 6/ to S/ case, good 4/ to 0/, poor 2/ to 3/; pears, W.R.C., 6/ to Ss, others 3/ to 6/; passion fruit, 1/6 to 2/9; plums, 3/ to 5/; peaches, 3/ to 4/; grapes, in-door, 1/1 to 1/4 lb, outdoor 2/ to 3/6 box; tomatoes. No. 1. 2/6 to 4/, No. 2 1/ to 2/; quinces, 4/ to 6/; figs, 4/ to 5/. Poultry.—Hens, good. 2/3 to 4/ each, poor 1/4 to 2/; roosters, heavy, table. 3/6 to 6/3 each, light and small. 1/3 to 2/10; chicks, 4d to 1/3 each; ducks, 1/0 to 3/10 each; geese, 4/6 each; turkeys, gobblers and hens wanted.
