SWIMMING. . SCHOOLS' CHAMPIONSHIPS. AUCKLAND WINS THE SHIELD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Friday. The Dominion schools" ewimmlng championship meeting was concluded this evening. H. Yon Stunner, of Auckland, turned the tables' on his opponent, Batchelor, of Ghristchurch. ,by winning the 100 yds championship. <He streaked home in good style, and cut out the distance in 70 1-os, thus beating his last year's time by 2-ss. •Batchelor was second. The next championship race was the 75yds intermediate for girls, and Miss O. Edenborongn, of Auckland, followed up her last night's success fiy winning the event, after a close contest. The Aucklanders present were naturally very Jubilant, as it gives Auckland 31 points for the shield, as against Canterbury's 18 and Wellington's 16. The 100 yds championship race for schoolgirls was also annexed hy Auckland, Miss Wal■rond beating Miss G. Shand. of Christchurch. The time was 89 2-ss. The 220 yds Intermediate championship for boys ■was won hy E. Lowe, Christchurch. who snapped the victory from Ahlers, of Auckland, In the last lap. The winner's time was 2.44 1-5, and Ahler's time 2.55 3-5. Auckland has, therefore, won the shield easily, the respective points being:—Auckland, 40; Christchurch, 27; Wellington, 15; Wanganul, 5: Napier, 1. Results:— Boys' 100 yds Championship.—Yon Stunner (Auckland) 1, J. Batchelor (Christchurch) 2, Johnston (Wanganul) 3. Won by syds. Time, 70 l-ss. Girls' Intermediate Championship, 75yds. —Miss Edenborongh (Auckland) 1, Miss Buckmnster (Wellington) 2, Miss Batchelor (Christchurch) 3. Won hy a narrow margin, after a splendid race.' Time, 60 3-ss. Girls' 100 yd* Championship.—Miss Wal--roud (Auckland) 1, Miss Shand (Christchurch) 2. Miss Nuttnll (Napier) 3. Won by 2yds nfter n fine finish. Time. 90 2-ss. Boys' Intermediate Championship, 220 yds. —Low (Chri6tchuroh) 1, J. Ahlers (Auckland) 2. Murrell (Wellington) 3.
