EARL DERBY ATTACKED.
DENIES RESIGNATION OF WAR PORTFOLIO. LONDON, February 22. During the debate on the Army Estimates in the House of Commons, Major David Davies (Liberal member for Montgomeryshire) demanded that Earl Derby should be| removed from the office of Secretary of State for War, for having played the fool in the crisis of the past three months, and for failing to stop the Press campaign against the generals nt a time when they ought to be collaborating to the utmost upon schemes of defence.
