ANSWER TO CRITICISM. LONDON, February 21. In reply to a question in the House of Commons, Dr. J. T. Macnamara (Parliamentary Under Secretary to the j Admiralty) said it was not desirable to give information regarding the recent German raid in the English Channel. The contention that German raiders and submarines could operate successfully in tho Channel and Straits of Dover was entirely unjustified by the facts.
