BRITISH REPULSE RAID AT iWONCHY.

LOXDON, January 14.

Sir Douglas Haic reports:-We repulsed an attempted raid east of *l6nchy le Preux, south-east of Arras. Our aeroplanes on Saturday bombed enemy billets and hutments, and fired several thousand rounds upon the trencheß. Two machines are missing.

An Italian official report states-.-The artillery has been active on the &=iago Plateau and east of Piave Vecchia. at the mouth of the Piave Rn-er. The British batteries scored many direct hits in hostile emplacements on the kft bank of the Piave.—(A. and >~.Z. and Reiiter.?
