GERMAN LABOURERS' APPEAL
PEACE OR VICTORY. GIVEN LARGE PROMISES. (Received 12.30 pjru) AMSTERDAM, January 11. The committee for the German labourers' peace movement telegraphed to the Kaiser and Crown Prince and General yon Hindenburg requesting them to secure the German labourers' future either by peace or victory. The Crown Prince replied: "There is no reason for uneasiness. The Empire's leaders will crown the heroic deeds of the army and navy by a good and honourable peace, guaranteeing happyconditions of life for the German labourers and the free development of their labours on German soil."— ( A. and N.Z.
