LONDON, January 10. Sir Leo Chiozza Money (Under Secretary to the Shipping Control Department, commenting on the loss of a food ship, says that the vessel was a member of a convoy, but developed a leak and left the convoy. She took refuge in an Irish port, and when repaired left under escort for her original English destination. If discharged in Ireland the vessel would not have escaped danger. During the past quarter ouly one per cent of food had been actually lost.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.) DISTRESS IN DENMARK. INDUSTRY COLLAPSING. (Received 1.15 p.m.) COPENHAGEN, January 10. Over 3,000 labourers are idle, and factories are closed owing to lack of raw materials. Industry is threatened with complete catastrophe, and great distress exists among the workers.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.) HUGHES' NEW CABINET. NO CHANGES. MOTION OF CENSURE. MELBOURNE, January 10. The Ministry previously headed by Mr W. M, Hughes, without alteration, has been sworn in.
